Valverde (Évora), already a reference in terms of innovation and energy efficiency, was chosen to integrate the InteGrid project after the success achieved in the same locality by Sensible project.
The presentation of the local demonstrator to the population was attended by Carlos Pinto de Sá, Mayor of Évora, and João Torres, CEO of EDP Distribuição.
João Torres stated that the goal of this projects is “to put tools in the hands of consumers so that they are more active in managing their energy.”
For this purpose, EDP Distribuição will install in approximately 50 households, previously selected, and at no cost associated ,efficient equipment, such as: intelligent washing machines, solar panels, heaters and Energy Management Systems.
